Y'all, I have to tell you about this one.

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, My Beautiful Fluff is loading up the car and heading to the Carefree Black Girl Cookout in Chicago — and this time we're bringing a brand new giant Yahtzee set that just arrived at my door. I have not stopped talking about it since it showed up.

If you've followed this brand for any length of time, you know we don't do a plain vendor table. We build a whole little world at every event, and this one is going to be a good one.

Why I Wanted More Than a Table This Time

Every event I set up, I ask myself the same question: what do I want a stranger to feel when they walk past my booth? Not "what do I want them to buy" — what do I want them to feel.

For Carefree Black Girl Cookout, the answer was easy. I want people to feel like they can put their phone down, sit in a folding chair next to someone they just met, and play.

That's the whole idea behind what we're calling the Color & Confidence corner. Coloring pages from our My Beautiful Canvas book. Giant Connect 4. Oversized checkers. And now, giant Yahtzee, dice and all.

What You'll Actually Find at Our Spot

Here's the honest rundown of what we're bringing:

• Our full lineup — apparel, accessories, and self-love products, if you want to shop while you're there

You do not have to buy a single thing to hang out with us. I mean that. Come color. Come talk trash over Connect 4. Come take pictures. That's the point.

A Little Bit About Why This Matters to Me

My Beautiful Fluff started because I couldn't find clothes that fit me during my natural hair transition, back when I was just trying to feel like myself again. Ten years later, the products have grown, but the reason I show up to events hasn't changed one bit — I want people to feel like they belong somewhere, exactly as they are.

Carefree Black Girl Cookout is built on that same energy. It's community first. It's Black-owned businesses filling a room together. It's joy that doesn't need an explanation. Our booth is just our way of adding to that.
